Appalachian Echoes is a three-hour, weekly syndicated radio program that highlights the talented artists, songwriters and musicians with ties to Appalachia, as well as the vibrant and growing genre of Americana music which often features the echoes of Appalachian influence. The show focuses on predominantly independent artists and music often overlooked by commercial radio playlists, and fuels a sense of listener loyalty based on home place pride.

We invited Kashus Culpepper and Abraham Alexander on stage during the Cayamo Cruise knowing that they would be a good duo interview, but we were not prepared for how much fun it was. We discussed several parallels for Abe and Kash: their boisterous singing voices, learning guitar as adults, intense histories with sports, and, of course, being very handsome. We introduce our conversation with the two musicians as “Handsome Club,” and ask them to speak about their relationship with beauty.
