Appalachian Echoes is a three-hour, weekly syndicated radio program that highlights the talented artists, songwriters and musicians with ties to Appalachia, as well as the vibrant and growing genre of Americana music which often features the echoes of Appalachian influence. The show focuses on predominantly independent artists and music often overlooked by commercial radio playlists, and fuels a sense of listener loyalty based on home place pride.

In Memoriam: Raul Malo (August 7, 1965 – December 8, 2025)
Raul Malo, the extraordinary tenor and longtime frontman of The Mavericks, has passed away at the age of 60. He died December 8, following a battle with Stage 4 colon cancer diagnosed in June 2024. His loss leaves a profound void in the world of Americana and roots music.
