Appalachian Echoes is a three-hour, weekly syndicated radio program that highlights the talented artists, songwriters and musicians with ties to Appalachia, as well as the vibrant and growing genre of Americana music which often features the echoes of Appalachian influence. The show focuses on predominantly independent artists and music often overlooked by commercial radio playlists, and fuels a sense of listener loyalty based on home place pride.

Justice for HeeHaw. Outrage is growing after a police officer in Rockmart, Georgia fatally shot a family’s beloved pet miniature donkey named HeeHaw in what the officer claims was self defense. It all started on August 30 when the Cedartown Police Department officer Trenton Garner, a K-9 unit and a bloodhound team entered the pasture of Ellsbury Riding and Farm while reportedly searching for a missing 12 year old.
