Over the weekend, Lainey Wilson scored her 9th career number one song at country radio with her single “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The song was included on the deluxe edition of her 2024 fifth studio album, Whirlwind. Lainey co-wrote it with her frequent collaborators Trannie Anderson, and Dallas Wilson, and Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg also received writing credits as the song interpolates the melody of “Over the Rainbow”, which was of course originally written for the 1939 film The Wizard […]
