This crew of Massachusetts fishermen recently landed a record-breaking fishing story that they’ll be able to tell for the rest of their lives. Reeling in a blue marlin is every fisherman’s dream. Ironically, the actual act tends to be a nightmare. In case you didn’t know, blue marlin are massive fish, and can weigh in at over 1,500-pounds. We often hear the refrain, “why doesn’t anyone write protest songs anymore?” Those folks haven’t been listening to Chris Pierce. His new album, ‘Songs for the Heavy Hearted,’ needs to be played on repeat, for not only does it call out the injustices tearing at the fabric of our society, but it also testifies to the enduring hope and love living in the shadows that can guide us through these fraught times.

Zach Top’s career feels like it’s at a crossroads. Smartly, Zach Top has released two new songs in hopes of re-igniting some of that initial momentum behind him. And generally speaking, they feel like they could be valuable in that pursuit.
